They are in mid-30s and if they apply for residency they will finish at age 35yrs and then post-residency is another couple of years. Does mid 30s age in their favour?

I applied recently for refinancing on H1B (1 yr extensions) and did not face any issues. I had to provide additional documentation like the 485 receipt, apart from that no issues.

I am planning to visit India next week. I have the I-94 which was given to me when I entered USA last time. In the mean time, I also have I-94 attached on the approved I-797 due to 6,7 and 8th year extension. My question is
When I check in at the airlines counter do I have to only submit the I-94 that was given to me at the port entry ?
or
all the I-94 that is attached to my I-797 approval notices.

This is ridiculous. Lots of stress for most guys and even bad for members you had their vacation cut short and returned to US for applying AOS. At least I know one friend who had his family return from India. Only thing is we all have the required documents ready to go and the medical is valid for a year, and if and (IF) the date�s moves forward in October, we can still use the same.
Anyway, we got to deal with this and use this opportunity to educate people on this and may be we need to start a fax campaign and send to congress and the government agencies and emphasize on the necessity to recapture the unused visa from past and find a way to be able to apply for I-485 while the visa numbers are not available, which could be the only option that would alleviate many issues for the members stuck in retrogression. This is not happend with any intervention from Congress, which requires lots of lobbying and money.

Hi,
What's the Maximum amount of money the parents of a h1b person can carry from US to India when they are returning after a visit on B1 visa? I heard it should be a dollar less than $10,000 per person. Somebody told me its $10,000 per party. Please answer this.
So if father & mother both are traveling back from US to India can they carry $9999 each in their hands while traveling through air? It will be $19,998 total for the party in total
While coming to US I heard you don't have to declare the money/currency you are bringing as long as they don't exceed $10,000. So if they are taking most of that money back along with some extra cash (total < 10k per person) is it safe to avoid any questions/complications with US TSA/ CBP?
Have anybody got into problems or delays?
I just want to have the right information handy just in case.

2- I moved business travel around the rally, my boss also had to reschedule
3- I am flying in from Texas

A water tight bag lugged around your fanny with passport/I94/H1B/paystubs/employer letters/DL(Driver License)/EAD(Employment Authorization Document)/AP(Advanced Parole)/receipts/etc etc. should keep you safe though. I had my stamping this week in chennai for H1-B (7th year). I work for a reputed company and direct employee with no clients etc... This was my second stamping at this consulate, they asked for I-129 (which was perfect with all the docs provided to USCIS by the attorney) , W2 and employee verification letter. The consular was specifically trying to determine whether there was any vendor or client ,once she determined there was not any the visa was approved and got my passport in 3 days. But i noticed a lot of ppl had tough time if they were working as contractors.
PS : the photos taken at costco are rejected by VFS, better is to get a PPhoto in india or at the consular office. This will save the last minute hassle.

Can we work for Indian company and receive salary get deposited in India for the work. My spouse is in H4 Visa here and recently got the H1B approved. For the new H1B transfer could we show the Indian employer experience while you are physically present in US for last 3 years.

And it may well depend upon the demand for H1b visas this year. If there is a huge demand for H1b visas like last year, there is a good chance congress may recapture lost H1b visas. Then EB visas may also be recaptured along with H1b visas.
But I'm not sure about the demand for H1B this year , as H4 to H1 conversion will be down this year due to (most of) H4 visa holders getting EAD. Another issue is if OPT is increased to 24 months, then F1 to H1 will also fall drastically.
Fear of recession may also reduce new H1B visa demand.
Haven't heard of recapturing H1 visas. With high demand for H1s I doubt if there will be any unused visas to be recaptured. Even if there are any then can the congress recapture them? I have been reading posts on here and I think I am more confused than ever now. People are talking about 180 days? 180 days from what and for what? I have a call in to my lawyer but hes hard to reach.... So maybe you guys can clarify for me? I have an approved labor cert w/ priority date of July 06. Sent my app and my husbands app to the NSC on June 27th for our 485 & 765 (the work authorization for both). So what now? I will get a receipt date, then eventually a notice for fingerprints and then my work authorization? And then what - we eventually will get our green card? When does your change in status occur? once you get the green card? or once my 485 is pending? Thank you for your help in advance, Lisa

You get EAD/AP in a few months from receipt date
you get your GC once your I-485 is approved which could be anywhere between 6 months and 6 years depending on one million factors..
Don't know what happens once your Gc is approved.. I heard it's good to have it, so I'm running after it like everybody else :)
