Why is that not unrealistic? NYC has 8.3 million people as of 2008. Even if 99,999 people had their identities stolen for iPhones, that's only 1.2% of the population. Consider that as of 4.6% of the population were victims of ID fraud according to the Federal Trade Commission.
I think it would take less than 99,999 cases in a concentrated area for AT&T to consider potential fraud a problem. Even 50,000 iPhones and accounts lost due to fraud would cause about $15 million in losses, assuming an average $300 subsidy per iPhone.
Also: it's not just ID theft that could be the issue here. there are other ways to scam iPhones off AT&T and resell them.

They already do. I've been on Tmo with my iPhone for 3 years now.
Just unlock and go over. Or sit on your hands and wait for official.
I have been with Tmo for almost a year now with a 3GS and have unlimited everything and it works perfectly and much cheaper than ATT... Whats so funny is that Tmo has had a "iPhone" Tech help for 3 years gone now.....

Could you provide a little more detail of your situation? Which program(s) create corrupted PDF files? Is it only Firefox? Which version of OS X are you running? SL? 10.6.7? When was the most recent time you were able to create a PDF that was not corrupt? Yesterday? Weeks ago?
I just created a PDF from FF 4.0 on 10.6.7 and it worked just fine. I went to about firefox so I could figure out what version of FF I had and it downloaded and installed an update (4.0.1). I'll "print" again just to test...
You mention Acrobat. That really is not needed on OS X. I used it briefly when a certain prof was sending out indecipherable PDF files but I never allowed it to become any kind of default and I haven't run it in close to a year. BTW, printing to PDF worked for me again on 4.0.1. You should be able to use Preview and Quick View on any PDF you have created on your machine.

Of course, this isn't really about open standards. Last I checked, H264 video has no encryption associated with it per se. You have to add your own on top.
That's what everyone is doing, Netflix, Amazon, etc. Netflix licenses theirs already, Apple will do so too.

I was not sure where to post this, I have emailed MacRumors several times, but with no reply.
I can pull up the main page of wap.macrumours.com but when clicking next page I get a response unknown error with my Nokia 3200.
This also happened on my old 7210 phone too.
This would indicate non complaint wml code on the 2nd page, as this is the error Nokia's tend to give (they do not attempt to display non complaint code)

For the specific Mac models (like the oogles of PowerMac revisions), would it be wise to just link directly to AppleSpec instead of making our own? We already have [[PowerMac]] with links to [[PowerMac_G4]] which then links to [[PowerMac_specificModel]]. Maybe the links on the PowerMac_G4 page should be to the AppleSpec PDFs for those models?

I think the Mini and Macbook will go C2D at the same time and this will be at the same time or just shortly after the Macbook Pro. With MBP line, I would expect the slowest CPU offering to be the 2.16GHz with an option of a 2.33GHz upgrade and the 2.33 will probably be standard on the 17". The Mini and Macbook will probably get the 1.6GHz and 1.83GHz C2D chips with an option to upgrade to the 2GHz C2D. At the 2GHz mark, it's still Core 2, but has half the cache and still a notch slower than MBP offerings. MBP may also have a 2GHz offering, but it will be the 4MB L2 cache chip.
